There were many productive recommendations concerning research in environmental-based concepts, such as application of water hyacinth to absorb the heavy metals from wastewater as drained by RRT factory, composting of water hyacinth, treatment efficiency of organic waste from poor dwelling households, etc. However, such conditions have been the ecological site of water hyacinth, which is why they spread to cover almost the entire pond surface, as shown in Fig. 2. Water hyacinth is named “evil plant” and wastewater is called “evil waste” throughout all parts of the country. They need to be eliminated in order to improve the environmental quality of human life. For that reason, H.M. the King kindly initiated the wastewater treatment of RRT pond based on the research philosophy that “evil overcomes evil”. In principle, H.M. the King recommended the use of water hyacinth for community wastewater treatment as well as for removal of toxic heavy metals. Those who take responsibility of the project must keep in mind that the philosophy of “evil overcomes evil” is the key word for setting the royal initiative’s research framework. The royal initiative’s research framework was set up a day after the Royal visit by dividing the scope of study into 6 steps: Step 1: Basic data for existing environments of the RRT pond were collected for physical, chemical, biological, and social aspects. Problems and their causes were identified from analyzing and synthesizing the collected data. The point sources and point effects could be localized in the RRT pond
