Plant material (ripe berries) of Juniperus oxycedrus was collected from August to September 2011 in five different wild
populations in Kosovo (Table 2). The essential oil compositions of 25 samples were examined (5 samples for each population).
Voucher specimens of each population were deposited to the Herbarium of the Department of Biology, University of Prishtina
(Table 2).
Plant material was air-dried in shade at room temperature. Ripe berries were cut and essential oils were obtained by
hydrodistillation using a clavenger apparatus for 3 h. The samples were stored at 18
C in the freezer until further analysis.
