In this chapter, the details of developing the model and as well as the experimental procedure is described. This study can be divided into two major parts. the first part will be concerned about the mathematical model of the SFPMC system and validation with available concern data. For the second part, the experiments of that system will be the main work. Feedstock for hot water of all experiments will be solid fuel, should be charcoal. The results from experiment will be used to validate the model.
The research on the proposed Porous-Medium Combustor for Solid Fuel Utilization system would involve three aspects: (i) Theoretical study and modeling, (ii) Design and fabrication and (iii) Experimentation and performance analysis. This would be carried out along the following steps in Figure 3.1. The activities are discussed in detail in the following sections.
