Hermetic sealing of the root canal system with an inert and biocompatible material is one of the requisites for successful endodontic treatment [1,2]. At the present time, gutta-percha associated with sealer is
the filling system of choice. Although gutta-percha is the most common
root filling material used in endodontics, this material has no adhesive
qualities, as it does not truly adhere to sealer or dentin surfaces. Its
poor adhesion can compromise the hermetic seal and allow apical or
coronal leakage [3
