Hello team,
I also agree with Jeff that the results look good. It seems that this approach may lead to cost savings...
However, I have some concerns/questions. Sutasinee/Pongyut can you please try to answer…
Sumitomo and SEPT have been developing a process for us for the past 8 months. It seems that our proposal (single pass) maybe is a better solution than their proposal of two passes…The question is they are the vendor and we need their buy in.
So,
1) Have they been informed of this single pass approach? Has WD_Thailand team working with them in the past? Did they accept the single pass proposal? At the last meeting that we had with them, this was not discussed.
2) Do we need a new FCOF build (process #13) with this approach for cleanliness evaluation or can we be sure that the cleanliness will not be an issue. Then, I can proceed with 100 APFA build?
3) What will be the cost saving, and will they accept that? What will be an estimation of the cost savings from the 20 cents they gave us?
4) Who will be buying the dispenser tip which is apparently $50k?
5) When we talked about a lead time “for a second machine” at the meeting, was the discussion about a second dispenser? (and not a machine) It was lost in the discussions (at least for me). Again, is the lead time ordering, buying, installing this second dispenser 8 weeks?
6) Once we agree among ourselves that this is the way we should go then we need a meeting with Sumitomo/SEPT to get their “buy in” of this approach as well as to get the new cost estimate from them.
7) Do we need to update the DFM if the single pass approach is accepted? (Jeff/gary)?
I need to know the answers of these questions to move forward.
Regards,
Raffi
