The data used in this study were secondary data and collected from the GREEN
zone ETD, HTAR. There are 21 samples which is equivalent to 21days during month
of January 2013. Only 21 samples were collected due to problemoccured and system
maintenance during the recording of the data. This month has been chosen since there
are few seasonal holidays such as festive season and school holiday. Therefore, the
demand for ETD is quite high in month of January 2013. The data comprised of all
information needed such as patient’s arrival time, patient’s service time at respective
counter, time of patients complete the service and total numberof patients per day.
All the data obtained were recorded into Microsoft Excel 2007 (ME2007) and the
screening process was implemented to discard the unnecessary data. Only data that
have average waiting time greater than 90 minutes are considered. Next, SPSS is used
to produce the frequency table of inter-arrival time and service time of the patients.
This is important in order to run the Chi-Square Test Goodness of Fit (CSTGF). This
test is implemented in order to determine the goodness of fit between theoretical and
experimental data. Hence, comparison between observed value and expected value
are made. Observed values are the data collected while expected value are derived
