A KMS is developed based on the proposed process-centered
knowledge model and enterprise ontology, and is installed at an
IT service company in Korea, which develops enterprise information
systems such as PLM (product life cycle management), and
sells engineering package software such as CATIA CAD and related
hardware. The developed KMS consists of three parts: (1) project
management sub-system based on process knowledge. (2) Knowledge
management sub-system for maintaining task support
knowledge. (3) Infrastructure sub-system, which supports the
above two sub-systems. Fig. 6 shows the functional structure of
PCKMS.
