According to the studies, University of Taxas Southwestern Medical Center (2013,p.14),found that “insufficient sleep lead to 0.82 ± 0.47 kg(±SD) weight gain despite change in hunger and satiety hormones ghrelin and leptin, on the other hand they found that transitioning from an insufficient to adequate sleep decreased energy intake, and led to -0.03 ± 0.50 kg weight loss”.
