The dried immature fruits of G. cowa (3.24 kg) were
extracted with acetone over a period of 3 days at room
temperature. Removal of the solvent under reduced pressure
provided the crude acetone extract (229.30 g) as a dark brown
gum. The crude extract was separated by QCC over silica gel and
elutedwith a gradient of hexanes–EtOAc to provide six fractions
(A–F). Fraction B (6.64 g) was separated by QCC with a gradient
