In this study, one group of college students with thirty four members which had enrolled in discrete mathematics participated in this study. Participants in this study involved sixteen girls and eighteen boys. In this research the students were asked to write their total mental processes in forty five minutes time during solving the two discrete mathematics problems. Due to the nature of meta-cognition, researcher mixed methodologies for this study that involved writing and self-questionnaire. Because in this area of research, have their strengths and weaknesses and feel that the strengths of one single methodology can complement the weaknesses of another methodology.
