When I was a child I loved our annual holiday at my grandfather's home in Manly, NSW. He had ocean views back then (it was in the 1980s) but since then the houses in front of him have grown upward and blocked the view - but it was great while it lasted. I loved going down to the beach and to Manly pier toicatch the ferry and going to the zoo. My grandfather died years ago and the home was sold so we now do "drive bys" every few years to check the place out. Brings back good memories. Since then Byron Bay has become my favourite holiday spot. It's a great place to ride a bike and the ocean views are something else. The locals are a mixed bunch, just beautiful laid back people and if I ever come into money I'll be sure to buy a home there...*dreams*
I also like day trips to Brunswick Heads as it's such a pretty spot surrounded by water.
