Ox Cart Ale House is set to open summer of 2015. It’s the third concept by Saint Paul restaurateurs Joe Kasel and Kevin Geisen, owners of Eagle Street Grille and Fitzgerald's.
This product driven casual restaurant will attract people who live, work, and spend time in Lowertown by offering fantastic food and drinks in a unique atmosphere. Customers will have the luxury of walking; taking the Green Line or taking advantage of the fact the restaurant is connected to a parking ramp.
The Ox Cart aims to connect with and support our neighbors as a new hub for the local community. An exciting new place to meet and relax, have an enjoyable lunch or dinner, socialize with friends, go to CHS Field, and enjoy all that Saint Paul’s Lowertown has to offer. The interior hints at Chicago while the personality is all Saint Paul. The Ox Cart Ale House features Lowertown’s first and only rooftop patio with unparalleled views of Saint Paul: from CHS Field and the Mississippi River Bluffs to the downtown cityscape, the State Capitol and Cathedral Hill.
A seasoned restaurant veteran with over 20 years of experience on Grand Avenue, Joe Odman will serve as general manager, bringing his expertise in large events and neighborhood focus to the Lowertown community.
Chef Andy Lilja is creating a constantly evolving menu catering to the neighborhood, with a level of quality you’d expect from a Chef with his background.
