Kalapana(AP)  Eight homes were and at least five others threatened yesterday by an 11-kilometre river of glowing hot lava from Ki-  lauea Volcano that severed a highway and crept toward the ocean near this coastal com munity.  Hawaiian elders in the area have said the erup-  tion would not end until the lava reaches the sea.
