Findings of this study indicate unintended pregnancy is one of the major reproductive health problems in the study area.
Husband desire for family size, number of pregnancies a woman had, and ideal number of children a woman wanted were among significantly associated factors with unintended pregnancy. Thus, reproductive health programs, promoting husband and wife communication, family planning access and women empowerment should be done. Furthermore, it is recommended that attempts should be made to bring change in integrating basics and reducing mistimed and unwanted pregnancy by conducting further study.
