resolvesthedrawbacksandlimitationsofthetraditionalcontrollers.Thenewcontrollerisbasedona
newlydevelopedmaximumpowerpointtracking(MPPT)techniqueenablingveryfastmaximumpower
point (MPP)capture.Moreover,itutilizestheconstantcurrent,constantvoltage(CCCV)chargingscheme
to reducethebatterychargingtime.Inaddition,itenablesaccessingallsystemparametersremotelyfor
monitoring andadministrationpurposes.Inordertodeterminetheperformanceparametersofthe
proposed controller,aprototypewasimplementedtogetherwithmicrocontrollerbasedDC–DC con-
verter.Theexperimentalresultsshowthat,thenewcontrollertrackstheMPPfasterthantheconven-
