The MATLAB embedded function “rgb2gray”,
“imdilate”, “imerode”, “im2bw” and “imfill” were used
to insure the extracted edge robust to noise and dulled
edges. Eventually, edge is detected by "edge" function
with “LoG” operator. Fig. 4 shows the flow chart of this
program.
The X, Y coordinates of 809 points are taken by
running the program. Fig. 5 shows the two-dimensional
point cloud of the incisors.
