It seems that whenever Paul gets very passionate in his writing, he segues to a doxology. It is as if he is unable to contain himself and is about to explode with worship and praise. These verses are one of the most beloved benedictions proclaimed in churches today. It is filled with hope that an infinite God will do infinitely more than our puny minds can even conceive, not just for our good but for His glory. In the end, it is about God’s glory, and the vehicle for that glory is Christ and the church—the story of the Gospel.
