During the experiment, BW was not affected (P ≥
0.20) by EN supplementation with no differences (P =0.48) in BW changes
(BW at the end − BW at the beginning of the study, data not shown).
Dry matter intake tended to decrease (linear effect, P = 0.06) with increasing
levels of EN in the diet and a greater decrease in
DMI for 3% EN than 1 and 2% EN was found compared
with control (quadratic effect, P = 0.09; Table 2).
