A container: I use little clear plactic party cups that can be purchased for about $.89 for 18 or even cheaper. I use them for everthing else around the fishroom like thawing frozen food and isolating fry, etc. I cover these with plastic wrap (any kind). I have also used margarine tubs, plastic shoeboxes, Cool Whip tubs, etc. The bigger containers are more stable and produce more worms, but one can stink up a whole room if it does go bad, and I don't really need that many worms. If the little cups dry up or go bad I just pitch them, and I don't have to try to clean them out. Cover the container pretty well so it doesn't dry out and flies don't get in. We'll cover flies in another article someday! Thin plastic wrap seems to allow oxygen in but keeps the moisture in too.
juveniles, and adult brine shrimp are also used increasingly as suitable diets for different
crustacean species.
