The gunman who blasted a Las Vegas mother during a fatal road-rage showdown lived just down the block — and he had help in the killing, police said.
Officers busted 19-year-old neighbor Erich Nowsch on Monday in a bizarre twist to the week-long manhunt for Tammy Meyers' killer, authorities said. They also revealed they're still hunting for a second suspect.
The arrest of a familiar face outraged the 44-year-old victim's family.
"We know this boy," Meyers' husband, Robert Meyers told reporters. "He knew where we I lived. We knew how bad he was, but we didn't know he was this bad."
Authorities had a brief standoff with Nowsch at a west Las Vegas home before hauling him out in front of Robert Meyers, according to KVVU-TV. The emotional husband angrily cried at a cop and then screamed at reporters.
“There’s the (expletive) who killed my wife,” Meyers shouted at a police officer. He then directed his grief toward members of the media.
“There’s the animal. A block away,” Meyers said before storming off.
