Segment Style, a way the stones are placed on a segment.
When an empty point is expressed as 0, and a
stone-occupied point is expressed as 1, a segment can be
expressed as a binary string or as an integer. This paper
classified all possible segments into 11 kinds of styles, so,
one style might correspond with many integers. Different
style has different power. How to classify segments is
introduced in the second part of this paper.
This paper proposes an idea that, segment evaluation is the
basis of point evaluation. So, the key issues about segment
evaluation should be discussed and resolved first.
Based on this idea, this paper argues that the value of an
empty point is the summary of four branch values, and each
branch value is determined by the potential power of the
segment to which this point belongs (see Figure 4(a)). This
