Programme Management and Policy Advice
Support the effective delivery of pro-poor environmental management and climate change mainstreaming into national and local economic decision-making and capacity development of key institutions;
Conduct relevant analysis and guidance and prepare initial drafts of technical policy advice and programme support documents that responds to country office needs;
Support country offices in integrating inclusive growth and environment into country programme frameworks and projects work plans, budgets and M&E frameworks, including fostering partnerships with community groups and the private sector;
Prepare materials to support the application of integrated multi-disciplinary approaches, including through participation in Development Solutions Teams (DSTs), to meet policy and programming needs in line with corporate guidance and standards;
Provide support to roll out and application of relevant risk management tools across country typologies to inform the design and implementation of inclusive and sustainable growth programmes;
Incorporate gender equality and human rights’-based approach in policy and programming work;
Support the development of complementary policies and guidance to facilitate UNDP’s work on inclusive growth and environment, including: environmental governance, local governance, biodiversity, climate change adaptation and mitigation financing, gender equality and social inclusion; and
Support UNDP SURGE for country offices.
