As part of the CAS Service work in June, we will be working with the SOS Village near school. The CAS students will be working in groups teaching, re-painting the perimeter wall, and making improvements to their playground. This has been organised already and is being submitted for approval from the SOS Village Directors.
Discussions with the SOS Village Director have also outlined the need for some help with landscaping and gardening in the communal areas and along the walkways. I would like to ask the help of our experienced BISP staff to assist in advising what could be planted in various areas and then expertise help so that students can implement this gardening work properly.
Would this be a possibility?
I am happy to meet with you one afternoon with the Village Director at SOS to discuss his needs and even see what sorts of plants you might suggest would work (they all need to be easy to maintain and not require too much water).
I recall that we have several seedlings here at school--would you be able to provide some of these for use at SOS Village? I am happy to cover the costs with my CAS budget where necessary.
It would also be great if your staff could assist during the week of June 15th-19th on location at SOS Village.
Thank you very much for you help and assistance and I look forward to hearing back from you on how we can proceed with this very worthy project.
