The principal stupa of this temple

The principal stupa of this temple is a large one of the round bell-shaped Singhalese style made in laterite. The square base of 31 meters sides is in three receding tiers with such decorative features as elephant caryatids, balustrade, and niches containing stucco Buddha images. A stairway at the front gives access to the main body of the stupa.
