I have seen this video and the other parts many times just watching in deep thought. In some ways the video of what they are predicting is really cool and watching it is a little depressing at the same time. I just turned 40. I was always into computers since I was around 8 years old. Right after High School Windows 95 had just been released. I was more excited than anyone about what the future had in store for us and what the evolving technology was going to bring us. The only thing I have seen is that's spoiling and ruining us. We have become such a socially awkward society dependent on having some sort of an electronic device within an arm's reach at all times. With all of this in the equation, we are working harder and longer hours with companies becoming more and more demanding every day. With all of this in the mix, all this allows us to do is work, eat, get online through whatever method, go to sleep and repeat. We are so busy as a society now and so glued to electronic devices that a lot of people don't ever want to get out of the house and go do anything or go anywhere. Weird enough, I used to want all of this technology that we have now more than anyone. If and when something were to ever happen to, let's call it "THE GRID" we would basically be in utter chaos. We would never be able to escape the prison cells that we are metaphorically in and go back to a more primitive period of time. Sometimes I wish that we could just go back to the old ways of dial-up Internet and a basic cell phone.
