I have been going to Mc C hospital pretty much since I arrived here in CM. My office is very close.
I am a documentary, film and media producer working for international clients. Recently one of my clients was the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, I work a lot with health and food issues.
Yesterday I went to McC to get my medical for a driving licence. While I was waiting to be seen I went to the cafe to get something to eat.
I was shocked and unhappy to see that the food items for sale were sugar based cakes. This indicates to me that you are not taking the health of the Thai people seriously. Selling rubbish food in a hospital environment gives the wrong message to patients that this is OK to eat food like this which of course, as you know, is absolutely not the case.
Diabetes and obesity is becoming a huge problem in Asia and you are NOT doing your part as a health service provider to alleviate these problems.
In my experience Thais are badly educated regarding food and can only look to establishements such as yours for guidance. I look forward to receiving your response on this matter becauae I want to do something about this. Regards Alex Boyesen
