GHASH2 – recent news
17 May 2016 gigahash News
Due to the recent Bitcoin price, and the rising Bitcoin network difficulty, GHASH2 of our SHA256 cloud mining hash power has been almost paused. It costs more money in electricity/maintenance fees than the AntMiner S5 devices mine every day in Bitcoin. Each day it costs $1.17 per THS to run, and it only mines ~ $1.16 – $1.17.
It does not appear likely that the miners will again produce more in Bitcoin than it costs to run them in electricity, so we will be terminating the contracts on next difficult adjustment.
We stop selling SHA256 hash power month ago. The reason is bitcoin reward halving, which is expected after 54 days ( http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/ ).
