9.2 PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL
Performance appraisal is a two way constructive process which gives the opportunity
to the employee and his/her appraiser to:
Assess and record last year’s objectives achievement
Define and set performance objectives for the next year
Discuss the employee’s career and mobility aspirations
Discuss the employee’s learning and development needs and requirements
Review the employee overall performance with a rating associated to it.
Performance appraisals also aim at:
Helping employees improving performance overtime
Managing employees in a consistent and transparent way.
The Performance Appraisal is a process applicable to all payroll staff of any
TECHNIP group entity that has completed 6 months of continuous service.
TECHNIP adopts a globally consistent process for appraising employees which
begins in November and ends in February of each year.
The Appraiser is by default the line manager of the employee. The line manager can
delegate the Appraiser’s role to the operational manager of the employee.
Yearly objectives must be set for all employees, including new joiners. In most cases,
the objectives are set on a yearly basis during the Appraisal Window, as part of the
Performance Appraisal process. However, in case of a new joiner or an employee
transitioning into a new role, objectives can be set during the Objectives setting
campaign. All employ
