Retail Brick & Mortar Debit Memo Process / Chargeback Process
This process is intended to cover 90% of the debit memo lines flowing through the aging. Understanding, that there will be some that require special handling outside this process.
Customer is Sales on behalf of Retail Brick & Mortar Customer(s). Sales is not being involved early enough in the debit memo process of reconciliation and prior to charge backs leading to potential stop ships and external customer dissatisfaction.
Create and make part of the SOP a process by which Sales, AR and Collections agree on the process of moving debits from either clearance by credit memo or chargeback.
