some lines offer an “air deviation,” where a client can request a nonstop flight (if there is one) or a particular airline or airport. If the cruise company can’t accommodate the request, they refund the fee. If the cruise lines has to buy the ticket outside its block of seats, the price is passed on to the customer. Different names are used by the cruise lines for this service, such as “Custom Air” at Celebrity Cruises and “Seabird Gold” at Princess Cruises. Princess Cruises provides itineraries 60 days in advance. If the itinerary is not suitable to clients, they can pay the $35.00 and request the service they want (however, this may incur added charges for the tickets involved).
