The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of chamomile
and fennel essential oils and their extracts were determined
in order to assess their antimicrobial activity. Essential oil of
chamomile showed lower MIC values (12.5–10), compared to
fennel (15–12.5), for all strains tested, indicating their antimicrobial
activity (Table 5). The minimal inhibitory concentration
(MIC) of chamomile and fennel extracts depended on the bacterium
being studied and the extract concentration. The MIC values
