the same MABR and BAC could prolong the usage period much
longer than that of traditional activated carbon. At the optimal
conditions, the effluent COD, oil content, TN and NH4 + -N was
45 mg/l, 2.8 mg/l, 6.8 mg/l and 3.6 mg/l respectively, reaching the
discharge standard. Comparing to traditional methods, the hybrid
MABR system has the characters of high biodegradability, shorter
HRT, higher effluent quality, and stable performance. Hence, it is
