Correlations between variables
We used Pearson’s product moment correlations to determine
the relationship between the subscales of the three
main variables: problem- vs. emotion-focused coping, anxiety
and the physical (PCS) vs. MCS of quality of life. The
results showed that problem-focused coping (r = 0Æ33,
P < 0Æ01) was negatively related to anxiety level and
positively related (r = 0.20, P < 0Æ01) to the MCS of
quality of life. Moreover, anxiety was negatively correlated
