Of the 25 patients,16 were males (64%):
the female to male ratio was 1:1.6 (Table 1). The age
range was between one day and 30 years: median
seven months. Fifteen patients (60%) were under
one year of age. The median weight was 6 kg (range,
2.3 to 53.9 kg).
Five patients (20%) were diagnosed during
the prenatal period by ultrasound, which revealed
characteristic multiple cystic lesions. There was no
relationship between the disease and any other
congenital disorder(s) during pregnancy (i.e.,
hydropfetalis, fetal ascites, or fetal pleural effusion).
CCAM was diagnosed in 12 (48%) of the 25 patients
(Table 2), pulmonary sequestration in seven (28%)
