Nutritional status can be measured by preoperative weight loss, BMI, and nutritional biological markers8 . Serum albumin is a good and simple predictor of surgical risk and has a correlation with the degree of malnutrition. Lohsiriwat8 , et al. studied hypoalbuminemia in colon cancer patients who underwent right hemicolectomy, and proposed that hypoalbuminemia is a potential predictor of delayed recovery of bowel function post operatively and significantly associated with postoperative complications.
