The farmers in Pang Prarachatan village constructed
various types of bench terraces by hoe on steep slopes as
a conservation practice (Table 4). The bench terraces were
classified into 4 groups according to the features of the
terrace bed slope. Type A terraces were level, Type B
were outward sloping, Type C were level with the
shoulder bank, and Type D had an outward slope and a
weed cover.
