Focus for action
The Tourism Action Plan sets out three areas in which
the City will focus its activities. Projects grouped in these areas respond to the issues, challenges and opportunities identified by the research and consultation undertaken by the City in 2011 and 2012. The three areas of focus are:
–Destination development – encourage the development of product and infrastructure;
–Destination management – enhance the quality of the visitor experience; and
–Destination marketing – strengthen partnerships to maximise visitor potential.
