If all students in low-income countries left primary school with basic reading skills, more than 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty; equivalent to a 12 percent drop in world poverty (UNESCO EFA Global Monitoring Report, 2011).
Creative Literacy Laos has to date provided over 6,000 books to rural Lao communities, in the form of 25 small libraries. We have run 9 book parties and provided basic training for all teachers in book care and use; beyond just reading the book.
