The function of human machine interface of the KRONOD LND is mainly realized through the two
Multifunctional Consoles MFC1 and MFC2 ( Para. 1.5.1) and through the ILCC console ( Para. 1.5.2),
it is installed on all the Human Machine Interface (HMI) tool.
1.5.1 - Multifunctional Consoles (MFC)
The MFC provides operators with the resources hardware and software to:
- provide support service for the development, management and display of tactical information
including signals from the radar sensor;
- interact with the other items of C4I System to perform the operations of comand and control;
- provide the capability to send operative radar command to PSR and IFF radar;
- display geographical maps;
- display GPS position;
- monitor and display KRONOS LND status and BITE info (including MFC own status);
The MFC ( Fig. 1.5.2) has the following devices of input/output to perform the function of management
and display of tactical and control of the combat system:
- N.1 Panel PC (touch screen capability, screen diagonal 20", display resolution 1600x1200 pixel,
CPU Intel Core i7) - below MFC Tactical screen;
- N.1 Auxiliary Display (touch screen capability, 20" TFT, 1600x1200 pixel) - below MFC Auxiliary
screen;
- N.1 Alphanumeric keyboard;
- N.1 Three-button trackball.
