Dear Julatis,
Congratulations, the Dutch Immigration Services (IND) have approved your preliminary MVV and residence permit application! Please find attached a scanned copy of the approval letter.
The IND informed the Dutch Embassy/Consulate General in Bangkok about this approval, too. You will now have to contact the Dutch Embassy/Consulate General to make an appointment to apply for and collect the MVV. They may ask you for your V-number (Dutch: V-nummer), which you can find on the right-hand side of the approval letter. The Dutch Embassy/Consulate General will also ask you to fill out the MVV application form. You can find the form here.
Please send us a scanned copy of your MVV once you have collected it. It is important for you to know that once you collect the MVV, it will only be valid for 3 months. This means that you will have to enter the Netherlands within 3 months after collecting the MVV.
Attached to this email you will also find the Groningen for Beginners Package. This document contains important information about other immigration requirements as well as useful advice for your first days in the Netherlands. Please note that the information under Arrival and To Groningen is not applicable to you, as you will begin your study programme in Amsterdam. However, do read up on the rest of the information to familiarise yourself with Groningen and the Netherlands!
After arrival in the Netherlands you will be able to pick up your residence permit card. You will be informed about the details at a later time. Please note that you must not visit the IND, City Hall, or Aliens Police even though the embassy may advise you to do so.
Should you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
