Total phenols were determined using the Folin–Ciocalteau method
(Cao et al., 2011). One hundred and twenty-five microliters of 5-folds of
diluted strawberry juicewasmixedwith 2 mL of Folin–Ciocalteau reagent
(previously diluted 10-foldwith distilledwater) and set at 1 h in the dark
at room temperature. Then 1.8mL of sodium carbonate (105.99 g/mol)
was added to the mixture and reacted for 15 min, and then the mixture
was immediately measured at 765 nm by a spectrophotometer (UV-
726, T6, PG General, Beijing, China). Results were expressed as mg gallic
acid/100 mL of juice.
