There exists a discrepancy, wherein students who have taken a calculus course in high school usually tend to do noticeably better with their college or university math than those who did not. Is usually that because they forced to keep learning about brand-new math items during the high college years which makes the difference? I think it is certainly period to re-think how we coach math to our children during their high school years. Usually, all the initiatives to educate mathematics at college level at even more or less ruined.
