Answers to the following questions were sought to accomplish the above mentioned aim: (1) Would there be any significant differences between the pre- and post-test scores within each group (counselling, guidance and control) in terms of coping with stress, irrational beliefs, and optimism? (2) Would there be any significant differences between the experimental (counselling group and guidance group) and the control group’ post-test scores in terms of coping with stress, irrational beliefs, and optimism?
