Just picked up this baby today.
This is their top of the line polished blue "Eagle" model.
S.A.M. makes their slides and Frames in the Philippines and then its fitted with Iver Johnson small parts, much like STI does with Armscor for their Spartan model. I'm not sure where IJ sources the small parts, but they don't look like anything overly familiar to me.
Anyway, I'm impressed with the fitting of the parts and the nice finish on this 1911. The trigger is heavier than it should be, IMO, but for $600 its not bad. The other IJ models are less expensive.

The serrations are odd, in that they don't share the grip angle, but, hey, I like unique things like that sometimes.
