usually manifested as an impairment of gait or dexterity in the absence of significant
muscular weakness.
Dysdiadochokinesis is an i mpairment of the ability to perform rapid alternating
movements .
Dysmetria is impairment in the normal acceleration and deceleration of directed
movements. Usually evaluated by finger-nose-fi nger and heel-knee-shin
tests.
Intention tremor is an exaggerated oscillation of a limb, most pronounced
as it is approaching a target, and essentially absent at rest or at the beginning
of a movement. Intention tremor is a manifestation of dysmetria .
Titubation is a moderate frequency head tremor, usually anteroposterior.
