The word ‘friend’ has several different meanings and types, depending on individuals’ thoughts. For me, there are three types of them: acquaintance, fair-weather friend and true friend. The acquaintance is someone whom I know superficially. Perhaps I do not even know the name; I just know where they live or where they work. Each time we meet, we simply greet each other. The fair-weather friend is a type of friend with whom I can hang out. The way they talk to me seems nice because they seem to take advantages of me. However, if I need help, they will hardly be there for me. When I put myself into a trouble, I have a true friend who will help me out and get through with me. One of the reasons why she is so helpful is our long and loyal friendship. I can trust her and count on her in every situation, and this matters to me most. Of all these three types of friends, a true friend is hard to find, and I really appreciate to have one. If you want to have one, you need to be nice to others first.
