The purpose of the study was to analyze technical terms often used in public relation media for cultural tourism in Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphangphet, Lampang and Chiangmai. The samples of the study were selected from articles concerning with cultural tourism in 5 Thai northern provinces: Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphangphet, Lampang and Chiangmai. The instruments consisted of the tourism corpus and concordancing program. The Cultural Tourism Corpus was compiled from the articles in TAT brochures and tourism websites. There were 105 files in total. The concordancing program, WConcord were used to study the details in Cultural Tourism Corpus. The frequency words were counted, high frequency word list were counted, the list was sorted in an alphabetical and frequency order, words with less than 3 occurrences were deleted, words specific to tourism were selected from the resulting list to form the list of technical terms, and word co-occurring more than 4 times were selected to form the list of common collocations. The result of the study showed that there were 46 technical terms with at least 3 occurrences in the corpus and there were 23 common collocations found in the corpus. The finding in this study indicates the high frequency technical terms that used in public relation media for cultural tourism and they were collected from different sources. The result presented frequency technical terms that could be involved in people’s life. There are several reasons to study about high frequency technical terms. This study focused on the high frequency technical terms used in public relation media for cultural tourism to increase technical terms that commonly used and learner can apply to use their English knowledge on their own style.
