The effect of enhancement of stripping potentiometry signals of trace metals by using a mercury film coated reticulated
vitreous carbon flow-through electrode is described. The advantage of such a system is the possibility of the efficient in situ
removal of oxygen by exhaustive electrolysis in a small electrode volume during the short stop of the flow after the main
deposition time. This results in a considerable enhancement of the analytical signals and also a time saving due to elimination
