Pho Khun Ram Khamhaeng developed a good relationship with King Mangrai of the Lanna Kingdom
and King Fah Rua (มะกะโท) of the Mon Kingdom.

Records also revealed that in B.E. 1825, King Ramkhamhaeng had a good diplomatic relationship with Kublai khan Emperor of China. He sent 10 diplomatic missions to China, including his son; China sent four (but only three arrived in Sukhothai – one was stopped on the way and was killed by Jam people (Jam located in the south of China)

It was also this time that the first relation with Yuan Dynasty was formulated and Sukhothai began sending trade missions to China. The well-known exported good of Sukhothai was the Sangkalok (Song Dynasty pottery)
