The purpose of this project was to develop a resource for the Suzuki Piano School, Volume Two upon which teachers may draw for their lesson plans and which parents may consult while supervising their children. The sourcebook provides historical, analytical, and technical information about the compositions and offers suggestions on teaching strategies so as to present a broad range of teaching possibilities that are germane to each piece of music in this particular volume of the Suzuki repertoire. It is believed that by making these materials accessible to students an increasingly rounded music education will result and hence a more comprehensive background will deepen their appreciation of what it means to be involved in music rather than that of meeting solely mechanical goals.
